Elmart DJ and producer Mike Turrento rough up the Austrian electronic music scene with his new release ‘Diving’.


The vinyl and MP3 label ’elmart’ lives up with its out of the ordinary Underground and Techno sound. Starting from the 7th of July 2009, the follow up single of the Austrian DJ and producer Mike Turrento ‘Diving’ is available for download on various MP3 platforms. The German based producer Pasqual Maassen, who is contributing a bass heavy Acid storm remix, supports his single.

Mike Turrento is co-founder and producer of the label ‘elmart’ and he has been in the DJ business for years. His last single ’TeleCommander’ was annouced by Dave Clarke and Ben Sims for their March 2009 TopTen and was played by DJ’s around the world. Beside the original mix of ’Diving’ you will find a remix by Cologne DJ and producer Pasqual Maassen on the release. He is running his own label called ’renamed’, released his tracks on labels like ‘Bitshift’ and ‘Klirrfaktor’, and his first EP was voted as “EP of the Month” by German magazine Raveline. His remix of ‘Diving’ convinces through Hi-hat and Acid storms, Break beats and embodies a contrast to the uncompromising original track.

Even though electronic music is not unknown in Austria, only a few Austrian dare taking a step into the music business. The four young Upper Austrians Christoph Elmer, Joachim Klein, Michael Kiener and Michael Walgram, breaking into the international market, established the vinyl and MP3 label ‘elmart’.
Label owner and manager Christoph Elmer already founded the umbrella brand ‘elmart – electronic music art’, from which ‘elmart’ emanated, in 2005. Elmart stands for techno and electronic music of the slightly tougher kind. The Upper Austrian launched ‘elmart’ with the vision of creating a platform for regional and foremost Austrian artists and offering newcomers the opportunity to live their music.
