" TECHNO PIONEER KEVIN SAUNDERSON GOES TO WORK ON
NEW FINAL SCRATCH MP3 TECHNOLOGY "
DETROIT, MI: May 20, 2002.
After officially using Final Scratch for the first time last weekend in
Brussels and Amsterdam, Kevin
Saunderson says, "The face of DJing is changed forever. Prepare to forget
everything you already know and be blown away by the most innovative piece
of DJing technology for years." Kevin explains Final Scratch as, "simply
MP3 mixing combined with the hands-on approach of turntables. Hook up your
laptop to a special phono connector, hook your decks to the same place and
use special Final
Scratch vinyl to play and control MP3s via your decks."
Kevin was skeptical when he first heard about the Final Scratch kit, "But
after working out how to put all it together I couldn't leave it alone!" he
said, "The responsiveness of the audio from your MP3 files is crazy. No
matter how fast you pull and push the Final Scratch vinyl back and forth it
always feels like a normal 12". In the mix it sounds great, in my opinion
it sounds best with MP3s that are above 160 kbps or so, but I'll leave it up
to you to decide.
I have thousands of records that I could never dream of carrying to gigs but
now I guess I can take as many as I like. The likes of
Richie Hawtin and DJ Craze have been using Final Scratch religiously while
out on the road. And if you're serious about your
DJing, you won't want to be without this."
Kevin will be using Final Scratch in Detroit this Memorial Day weekend at
both KMS's Global: Encore May 27th at The Works and at
Transmat's Agents of Change 2.0, May 25th at C-Pop Gallery, as well as from
now on.
For information about both parties, please go to the new home of KMS
productions,

Final Scratch is distributed by Florida based Stanton Magnetics Inc.
