Interview mit Giorgio Prezioso

hab ich am samstag gemacht ... war super, der typ is wahnsinnig nett, ich glaub so lustig hab ichs noch nie bei nem interview gehabt :D

- Ciao Giorgio, first of all thank you for taking your time for us. So how
do you feel, being here in Austria?
- Very good, thank you!

- Why was it always Andrea Prezioso and Marvin, coming to Austria, and not
you?
- We decided about that at the beginning of our career - Andrea and Marvin
going to Austria, Germany and so on, and me, with Sandro, I had mostly gigs
in Italy. But now, roles are changing a little bit ...

- So can we be curious for a new Prezioso feat. Marvin single in the near
future?
- Well, there will be a single from Marvin alone, and a Prezioso single,
maybe later a Prezioso feat. Marvin.

- Can you tell us about Club - Deep Inside? How was working with
Paps'n'skar?
- It took us one day to record it ...

- Really? One day???
- (laughs) Yes, Paps'n'skar had the idea for the vocals, and the complete
recording was done in one day. It's quite successful in Italy, though.

- And Alla Discoteca? Working with Gabry Ponte?
- We see each other every Sunday, so you see, Gabry also works on Sundays
(laughs).
You know, I worked with him the first time on Kassa de Majorca, which was
broadcasted eight times in the end, in July and August. And working with
him - he's very professional!

- You made this remix of DJ Martello - Sex on the streets lately ...
- Yeah, DJ Martello is kind of 'my' artist - this was his first experience.

- So what are your bigger future plans? Things you want to reach, maybe?
- I want to marry some time (laughs).
No, i just want to go on producing, different things ...

- What is your greatest success?
- Well, outside Italy, it was Tell Me Why. And in Italy, maybe Voglio
Vederti Danzare ...

- And for you personally? what is the thing you're most proud on?
- Emergency!

- OK, people keep on complaining Italodance is going through a difficult
time, some even say Italodance is dying. How do you see that?
- Sandro and I were dying today on the plane, because of the wind, it was
the first time in years i was really scared (both laugh).
Serious: Italodance as you mean was popular from 1999 until now, so people
just wanna hear something different at the moment ...

- So you would say it is time for something new?
- Yes, I think so ...

- Then how do you see the future of Italodance, if there is a future?
- Well, I guess there will be just different sonorities.

- Is there any person you'd like to work with?
- This is a good question ... Since I like electronic techno, I'd say Sven
Väth or Mauro Picotto.

- Do you have any idols in music, people that influence you?
- Tiefschwarz, David Carretta

- How do you see Austria's dance scene?
- Well, quite different from Italy (laughs). But I've never had too much to
do with it ...

- Do you know any Austrian Djs, Producers?
- Difficult, as I said, I've never worked with anyone ... Well, I know the
guys from DJ Exclusive (ed. Max Deejay and Massive 4, DJ Excluse is a label)

Interview ist klasse.

Was mich am meistens zum denken gab, war diese Frage:

- Is there any person you'd like to work with?
- This is a good question ... Since I like electronic techno, I'd say Sven
Väth or Mauro Picotto.

Mauro Picotto kann ich verstehen, aber Sven Väth kann er wohl nur gesagt haben, weil er der bekannteste in der Technoszene ist :D Auf der andere Seite schätze ich ihn als so professionell ein, dass er das ernst mein. naja *g*
Trotzdem interessant (besonders der Bekanntheitsgrad unserer Produzenten in Italien *g*). Mich hätte da zum Beispiel interessiert, ob er "C.Y.T./cytnation" kennt (zumindest vom Namen). Ich würde grob sagen, er sollte zu den bekannteren Österreichern in Italien gehören (zumindest hatte er ein paar sehr erfolgreiche Remixes produziert)

Sehr interessante Sache, obwohl's mich eigentlich Null interessiert.
Faszienierend nur, wie er auf Tiefschwarz kommt, hat mich irgendwie beeindruckt..naja so long

ich war überhaupt total beeindruckt von ihm ... ich hatte einmal kurz mit ihm gesprochen vor monaten, und da - naja ich sag besser nix ;)

aber er war wirklich supernett und vor allem - total professionell, so wie das selten jemand ist. er sagte auch so "ja soll ich dir darüber noch was sagen, is vielleicht interessant" und so ... wenn alle so wären wie er (und nicht so wie provenzano zb!!!) dann würds nur mehr spass machen ... total beeindruckend auch seine ausstrahlung - klassisch wie jemand der genau weiss was er macht, und warum er es macht.

ja mich hats total gewundert dass er so keine ahnung über österreich hatte - zb molella ist da ganz anders.

auch einige antworten - wie schon gesagt wurde tiefschwarz und so - haben mich überrascht ...

ich hätt mir so gern den gabry in der ns dx angesehen, war aber leider außer landes...

naja, vielleicht sieht man sich wo anders mal :D

eigentlich nicht, masterc!? - ich finde es grundsätzlich interessant, dass er sich für Techno interessiert, aber eigentlich nur Italodance-Produktionen macht.
Mauro Picotto verstehe ich (Italienbezug), aber mir kommt es eben nur so vor, dass er Sven Väth genannt hat, weil er der bekannteste Vertreter der Technoszene ist (so wie jeder Ferrari fahren möchte, weil es die schnellsten sind, bei Brasilien spielen möchte, weil sie die besten Kicker sind, ...)
Aber ich hab eh geschrieben, dass er sicher professionell genug ist, dass er das ernst meint.
Wer wollte nicht Pilot werden, als wir klein waren *fg*

hm mein eindruck ist dass der andrea eher die kommerziellere schiene mag, und der giorgio scho auch eher in richtung a bissi was heftigeres gehen würd ... er hat ja beim liveset dann zeitenweise ziemlich übel draufgehaut :D har har har das geilste war sein grinser dabei

naja und so sachen wie rock the discotec sind ja auch kein klassischer italodance ... :D

zeitweise ein bissal viiiiiel übel draufgehaut *g* ich fands auch voll laut im barbarossa... als ich raus bin hatte ich dieses surren in den ohren..aber eine hardcore version davon. is das immer so laut dort?? war mein erstes mal im barbarossa.... deshalb frag ich!

Jep da habt ihr Recht, Giorgio hat echt manchmal ziemlich geil angeschoben!

Bzgl. der Lautstärke: Bin fast jedes Wochenende dort, aber ich finde die Lautstärke ist immer gleich geil *g*

ja is recht nett dort, bisschen klein irgendwie die tanzfläche aber damit kamma leben ;)

sonst hab ich's ned so schlecht gfunden, und die fahrtzeit von wien aus ist auch akzeptabel smile.gif

ich war auch das erste mal dort (btw die fahrzeit finde ich NICHT akzeptabel -
~6 stunden :D )

naja ich habs nicht als sooo laut empfunden, aber vielleicht bin ich auch schon gehörgeschädigt :D

nagut du fahrst auch ned von wien weg *g* is scho klar das du ne ganz andere fahrzeit hast ;)

naja, ich finds aufjedenfall lauter als in da schicht oder so. aber is wohl wirklich ansichtssache *g* ;)
